People have different ways of dealing with heartbreak. Matt Sonic, the leader of this Melbourne outfit, has turned his misery into some mighty grooves, cooking up a collection of tunes that will make you want to dance around the house.
The disc is split into two sides: ‘heartache’ and ‘redemption’. Side A covers Sonic’s split with Ezy Lou, while Side B sees Sonic surviving (as well as documenting losing his virginity at the age of 12 in Beast/ Revelator).
Matt Sonic and the High Times could be the next Tumbleweed. Definitely a band to watch in 2012.
